Trebuchet isn’t just a popular font. Build your own warfare machine at your desk, and pillage your surrounding cubicle dwellers. I dare anyone to park in your spot after you load up a few rounds in your trusty trebuchet. Put it together with pliers, a cutting tool, and glue.
ThinkGeek is quick to point out that this trebuchet is for instructional purposes only and should not be used on any live targets.

I’ve had the unenviable task of rearranging all of my bookshelves recently. It’s a biannual event, trashing the out of date books, donating the good ones to the library, and holding on to the keepers. But the stacks keep growing!
Keep those shelves in check with James the Bookend, available in two colors. These rubber bookends are surprisingly sturdy and functional — not just another pretty face!

Think Geek always has clever copy and clever April Fool’s jokes. I think part of the reason is that some of their real products are so off the wall that their imaginary products don’t seem unfathomable.
This year’s joke was pretty extensive, featuring a home page almost entirely devoid of real products, and instead filled with jokes. I even got their newsletter in my inbox featuring these same products. And even knowing their tendency to have some fun, I still clicked through — “Spazztroids Caffeinated Cereal? I’ve got to get me some of those!”
Some other winners: Betamax to HD DVD converter, a caffeine patch, a USB pregnancy test, USB sun lamp, USB Foreman Grill, Pii Pii brothers Wii game. Check out their web site while the prank pages up!

If you must work in an office, you might as well make it interesting. If you’re old enough to remember cassette tapes, this clever tape dispenser will bring back memories; if you were raised on CD’s, then show your disdain for us old folks by ironically displaying this proudly on your desk.

Broken Boy Soldiers was a great first album for the Raconteurs, but this sophomore effort is outstanding. I had heard that production was rushed, so I was expecting the album to fall a bit flat, but it turns out that it’s just business as usual. Who knows, maybe it was the music critics who started that rumor to begin with.
With less polish then their first album, Consolers sounds darker, more raw, and much more energetic. I found myself repeating four or five songs on the first album, but this one is the play-from-start-to-finish variety. Plenty of good riffs to be found, and a few Jack White leads that only appeared on live versions of Broken Boy songs.
This will be on repeat for some time to come!
